Can You Perform Umrah on the Tourist eVisa?
Yes. Saudi Arabia’s tourist eVisa explicitly permits Umrah as one of its allowed activities, alongside general tourism, leisure travel, attending events, and visiting family. This applies year-round, outside of the Hajj season, and is one of the most convenient changes for Muslim travelers since the eVisa launched.
What the Tourist eVisa Does Not Cover
The tourist eVisa specifically excludes Hajj and study. Hajj travel is managed through a separate, dedicated Hajj visa process tied to the official Hajj season and quota system administered by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah — it cannot be substituted with a tourist eVisa.
